LARAMIE GAME AND FISH BUILDING

Sculpture asks us to get up, sit down, push, pull, engage our bodies in the work we do whether casting iron into sand molds or cutting out voids in metal on a work bench.

ASHLEY HOPE CARLISLE AND DAVID JONES BOTH HAVE OVER 20 YEARS OF ART MAKING EXPERIENCE .

In 2018, WindDriven Studios LLC was awarded two commissioned works for the New Laramie Regional Game and Fish Building. This building provided a physical and visual connection between the Game & Fish commission and its scientists, where they can work together to solve problems within this region and the state of Wyoming.  The work produced repeats this idea for this particular sight. It includes two artwork installations: a large scale (16’x8’) acrylic drawing/laser etching of the Platte River region watershed and cast resin fish that are connected where they reside within the watershed, and twelve etched acrylic drawings of native birds with outstretched wings that hang in four stairwells that connect the front offices to the larger labs housed in the rear of the building.
